Your centre choice controls the whole build.
Before you choose a circle size, decide whether the build needs one centre block or a two-by-two centre guide. This small decision affects doors, staircases, beacons, roof peaks and the way you place your first anchors.
An odd diameter such as 15, 21 or 31 has one exact middle block. This gives you a simple visual reference for a centred beacon, a single doorway, a spiral stair or a pointed roof. When you look at the blueprint, every side mirrors around that one central block.
An even diameter such as 16, 32 or 64 is centred between blocks. Instead of one middle block, use the central two-by-two area as the reference guide. This can be useful for double doors, wider entrances, central paths and designs that intentionally need a split axis.
A one-block centre gives a clear central doorway or ladder axis.
Place the feature on the exact middle block without adjusting the surrounding pattern.
A single centre reference makes it easier to align a compact stair core.
Odd bases work naturally when a roof ends at one central peak.
Use an even diameter when the build design benefits from a central line rather than a central block. Double doors, a two-block-wide bridge entrance or a wide interior aisle can align better with an even base. The important part is to recognise the 2×2 centre guide before placing the outer anchors.
Enter your chosen diameter in the generator, then use the displayed X/Z centre coordinates if you are planning a server build. Place the north, east, south and west anchors first. For an odd circle, the anchors mirror around one block. For an even circle, they mirror around the central guide. Finish the outline at ground level before raising any walls.
The centre type changes when you switch between odd and even sizes. Reset the centre and anchors if the diameter changes.
A beacon or single roof peak can still be used, but it will no longer sit on a perfectly central block. Choose an odd diameter if that symmetry matters.
The outer diameter is not the usable interior width. A thick circular wall removes more space inside, so check the filled or wall preview before committing.
Neither is universally better. Odd circles are easier for a single central feature; even circles are useful for a wider central axis. Choose based on the structure you plan to place inside.
There is no single middle block in an even number of grid cells. The mathematical centre sits between blocks, so the central two-by-two area is the practical guide.
