Before you start
Choose the final outside dimensions, check whether the centre is 1×1 or 2×2, and gather the stack total shown by the tool. For large builds, use the printable layer or quadrant plan instead of trying to follow a giant grid on one screen.
Use the base circle as the roof contract
A cone roof should start at the tower’s outside edge, not the usable room inside. Build the widest ring first, keep a centre scaffold, then follow the smaller layer plan upward. If the first ring overhangs or falls short, correct it before adding the roof height.
Keep the silhouette simple first
Finish the plain cone before adding stairs, slabs, windows or dormers. A clean block silhouette makes it easier to see whether every reduction is centred.
Use the roof layers as a sequence
A cone roof is easier when every reduction is planned. Start with the widest base ring, build the selected layer, then move upward. Keep a temporary scaffold through the centre so the peak remains aligned even when the upper layers become small.
Plan the roof material in stages
Build the structural cone with simple blocks first. Once the silhouette is correct, test stairs, slabs or contrasting trim on one side before copying the pattern around the roof.
